MAKE NORTHSTAR POSSIBLE FOR MORE!

Donate

Northstar Classical School was founded in 2016 and is a 501(c)(3) public charity based in historic Middletown, OH. We rely on tuition revenue and generous donations from our school families and friends (i.e. individuals, businesses, and foundations) to cover the entire cost of operation.

Donations are especially important, as they enable us to keep our quality of education high and tuition rates affordable. They also enable us to provide the blessings of a classical and Christian education to less-privileged families.

When you give to Northstar Classical School, you are making a powerful, positive difference in the lives of our students, our families, and in our school. You are also advancing God’s Kingdom through the ministry of Northstar Classical School.

There are many ways you can help:

Defer State of Ohio Tax Dollars

As part of the Ohio Christian Education Network, tax-paying residents in the State of Ohio can defer up to $1500 per household in state taxes toward a classical Christian education at Northstar. In 2023, our community generated $35,000 in scholarships through this fund!

Stock Donation
A gift of appreciated securities (i.e. stock) entitles you to a charitable deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities.
None of the appreciation in the security is taxable to the donor.

Real Estate Donation
A gift of appreciated real estate is like a gift of appreciated stock. Any type of property you have owned for more than one year qualifies as a charitable contribution at its fair market value. The asset may be given outright or may serve as the corpus of a trust arrangement.

In the case of a personal residence, it may be given with the right of lifetime tenancy by the donor and/or spouse. An immediate charitable deduction is available to the donor, and the gift is not subject to capital gains taxes.

Gift-In-Kind Donation
The gift of an item or a service can bring great benefit to both the school and the donor. A receipt is issued for all gifts-in-kind and the value is determined by the donor and his or her tax advisor.
